  1. woman wore dresses about ankle length. They normaly had aprons on and their dresses were mainly calico and wool. Woman would were petie coats but they   normaly didn't have a top hat. If they would go outside they would always were a sunbonnet or straw hat because it was not proper for girls to have a sun tan. People often didn't were shoes because it was to expinsivive.

  4. they dressed really modest and the women wore long gowns with aprons and the men wore high sock with pants cut to the mid-shin and ALWAYS wore vests.

Reoccurring modes of dress for women in the 1800's were bustles, corsets (called "stays" in the early part of the century), petticoats, hoops, pantalets, floor-length dresses for women who had reached puberty. Most undergarments were made of muslin (sometimes silk or more expensive fabric for people who could afford them) and outer clothes were made from calico, lindsey-woolsey, wool and other durable, cheap fabrics that the working class could afford. Thast just women though. Im not sure about men. Sorry...
