Question:

How did "Tinh ca alisa" become a Vietnamese folk song? :)?

I have only ever known it as "Gao Shan Qing", a Taiwanese folk song about Mt. Arishan that I love very much. I listened to "Tinh ca alisa" on Youtube and it sounds almost identical in tune and lyrics to "Gao Shan Qing". Why would the Vietnamese sing about a mountain in Taiwan?

Thanks! :)
