  1. I am sure that after she became famous she did many things for the community.

    But what she is famous for is for refusing to give up her seat to a white man in a bus in a time where African Americans were treated very bad.  So it is something that didn't just impact her community, it affected all African Americans everywhere in the States.  It affected everyone as a matter of fact not just African Americans.

    Good luck!

    And let us not forget the adversities others had to withstand in order for us to have the life we have today...

  2. good question. She helped in the civil rights movement and aided blacks to be allowed the same rights as whites. Wether that is considered good for the community is your opinion. My opinion is yes she helped the community. Although she helped lead to equal rights for blacks Montgomery was one of the main rioted areas and many innocent people were mamed and killed in the name of equal rights.

  3. Ummm wrong category

    Sometimes the category suggestions Y!A gives you aren't correct y'know

  4. she sat in the front of the bus, she helped blacks earn the right to sit wherever they please on the bus, she also helped bus companies accept food stamps as bus fare

  5. If youre talking about Rosa Parks, she started the bus boycotts during the US civil rights movement.

  6. She didn't stand up to give a white person her seat like most black's would and got arrested.  She showed that no matter what race you are, you have the same rights and freedoms as the others, and sometimes, you just have to stand up for what you think is right.

  7. No, all she did was sit there.

    </sarcasm>

  8. wondering what this has to do  with amusement parks *L*

    Rosa Parks was the first African American to defy the  bus driver when she refused to give up her seat to a white person... I applaud her and commend her That started one of the biggest movements called the Montgomery Bus Boycott which also aided in Martin Luther Kings quest for Civil rights
