How did sainsbury's change its brand image and why?

Sainsbury's was seen as the older persons shopping place (also had lots of smaller shop unable to substance white goods ...whilst Tesco aimed at the younger market and white goods section (Tesco 's grocery section was flat it was only the white goods that supported their strong rise)  ...So the transformation had to occur ...Sainsburys built more out of town shops and tried to show the family with the likes of Jamie ,Delia etc...They did however get it wrong and just like M&S they have spent a lot of dosh trying to change the public perception .....  

    You look in most Sainsburys now they have larger clothing and white good areas ....still to little to late and they will spend some years to come in trying to build market share again ...Sainsburys to you !!!!is also struggling to beat the competition and the labour and cost used is beyond beleif ...
