Spanish, the language, is spoken in a regional mix of pure Spanish and Indian in Mexico, and is widely spoken in Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.  Look at maps of these states and note the number of cities with Spanish names, and the number of natural features with Spanish names.  If you mean, how much influence did the Spanish government and citizens and culture have, quite a bit because language helps shape the way one thinks. The total effect will probably never be known.
