  1. Easy...nobody ever heard of her outside of Alaska until this morning.

  2. Very brilliantly. McCain camp threw out names like Lieberman to throw people off.

  3. Why does his secret-keeping ability impress people so?  I'm a little uncomfortable with it.  Yesterday, he purposely maneuvered people around, suddenly the Minn. Gov. who everyone expected cancels his appts., which is usually an indication that he will be the candidate's choice.  Then, he picks someone else completely, and what?  They all giggle at how they fooled the American people?  That's not impressive to me.

I'm not taking sides here politically, and I don't dislike John McCain, I just think that was a slippery move done for no purpose.

  4. True Obama couldn`t that is why the 3 AM text messages.

  5. Well, with all the hoopla surrounding the Obama speech... you could have 'hid' just about anyone...

  6. You're right.  I was amazed to find out that he's had this in the plannings for weeks and that his staff has had many secret meetings with her.  She too kept the secret very well.  Her own parents found out by turning on the TV.  Truly amazing!

  7. McCain's smarter than we give him credit for and he wants and has wanted for years to be President of the United States of America more than anything else, and he keeps his staff under control.

  8. excellent secret, i love surprises.

    Mccain/Palin 2008

  9. He trained for over 5 years in Hanoi during the 1960's how to keep a secret, even if tortured.

  10. Among the possible VP picks for McCain, her name was tossed around a little, but certainly not on the top of any ones list.

It was indeed quite a feat to keep this secret.

  11. It's called political tactics, and it worked PERFECTLY! Absolutely no one is discussing Obama's baloney speech or the ridiculous Roman pillar whoopla from last night. It was a slam dunk! All the Obama campaign could muster today was a feeble congratulations to Sarah Palin. They know they got toasted.....

  12. Yeah, though if they wanted to keep someone secret, they could have found someone that fits better with McCain than Palin does.
