I think you mean NEHRU jacket. It is called that, because the Indian prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru wore them.

Nauru is a tropical island in the South Pacific. I don't know of any jacket named after it. I don't think they wear jackets. I guess it could be another name for a rain jacket during the rainy season :)
