How did the Spanish Settlers treat the native americans?

I am trying to work on a project for Social Studies, but I can't find an answer to this question!!! PLEASE HELP ME!!!

  1. The Spanish were the worst group of colonials in terms of how they treated the natives. The French got along with them fairly well. The English, and later Americans, had their ups and downs. Disputes that arose usually had to do with the colonists settling in areas the Indians considered their own. But the Spanish embarked on campaigns of systematic extermination and enslavement for financial gain. They murdered millions looking for gold, and forced tens of thousands to work as slaves in their Californian missions and farms.


  2. The Native Americans traded with the Spanish and taught them how to farm. In return, the Spanish gave the Native Americans diseases...
