How did the U.S. government benefit from 9/11?

I know the owner of the towers received billions of dollars from insurance, George Bush's approval rate skyrocketed, we got access to oil fields, we got to declare a "war on terror" which basically gives us the right to attack anyone and anything that might be 'terroristic,' and many totalistic laws were passed under the assumption of one being a terrorist (useful for a New World Order). But what other benefits did the government get from the 9/11?

I think you pretty much hit all the main things. Basic money (for the "leaders"), control of oil, and a handy loophole within public opinion to be able to attack any country with the justification of terrorism (isn't doing that terrorism?) Giving the country almost total control for a while (PATRIOT Act was not thought through due to the terrorist scare).

the biggest gain was a "new enemy"... someone for them to rail against... blame everything on...

you can unite a group behind a common enemy... the attack gave them that enemy...

and if you can unite a group behind you... that's power...

(I don't believe that 9-11 was a conspiracy, but theoretically)

as a fringe benefit,  the Bush & Cheney cabal got some urban renewal for Manhattan and also very convenently the destruction of a LOT of records relating to the ENRON fiasco (and others)

all in all a VERY productive "disaster" for the Bush administration.

As Taxpayers, we should be asking

WHY did the worlds greatest military power FAIL to defend even its own HQ?

we have spent Billions $$$! on making sure that we indeed do have the worlds greatest military power, and yet on 9/11/2001 our DEFENSE DEPARTMENT failed to defend!

I want my money back ... defective product!

Well, I think you have pretty much hit the nail on the head.  Don't you?  Bush and Co have been able to go to war, pass unconstitutional laws, make billions in profit from war contracts, set the US up for a one world government.  What other proof do you need?

Have you looked at any of the evidence?  I am absolutely amazed at how many people are blind to the simple fact that if the government wanted to clear up some of the conspiracy theories, all they would have to do is release the tapes that were confiscated from the business around the Pentagon on 9/11 just minutes after the "attack".

It is incomprehensible what people are willing to believe.  Just like building 7.  Why did it fall?  I will NEVER believe it was because of fire.  That is not to mention the fact that it fell pretty much at free fall speed.  And people believe that c**p.  Amazing.  Well, if people believe that, they will believe anything.
