I just can;t picture them moving those huge stones with just muscle strenght to offer. Purhaps they had contact with aliens..... this is what I had always thought. :o

  1. Have you ever been to a prison? Probably not. Anyways the inmates do these crazy things to get their necessities. They can attach two paper clips to a styrophoam cup and stick it in a plug and it will heat water. They can make tattoos using pen ink.

Necessity is the mother of all invention. They needed a huge pyramid they invented ways to do it. And they didn't just wing it either. They had the genious Imhotep helping them. Two of the three great pyramids were not successful. One collapsed on itself, the other one's crooked.

Also the Egyptians invented quite a lot of things like tylenol, morphine, automatic doors, brain surgery, cataract removal. Innovations such as the pyramids are not surprising.

And the pyramids were not built on slave labor and most certainly not Hebrew slave labor. It was a national project in which the young men of the country were drafted to help build for a short peroid and return home.

Some of the stone used in the pyramids was cut near by making transportation easier.

  2. Aliens?  Forget it.

Experimental archaeologists have demonstrated a number of ways in which the Egyptians could have moved immense blocks of stone to build the pyramids.  Human ingenuity, human muscle power and the simplest of machinery.

  3. They had an abundance of manpower and a very good knowledge of mathematics and physics, they also didn't build them in just a few days so it isn't like it's not humanly possible.

  4. Ah, Erik Von Danikan is sleeping well.

He was the first person to propose that aliens may have had a hand in building the pyramids, machu pichu (in Peru) and other ancient wonders.  Prior to this crack-pot, we all knew that Egyptians used the cranes, levers, pullies, rollers and other tools of the day along with thousands of laborers, and lots of whips.  Teams form lots of scolarly groups have repeatedly demonstrated how regular people (earthlings) with wooden tools built the pyramids.

  5. There is a theory that aliens created the pyramids.  Watch Stargate, it explains it all.

  6. The Egyptians created their wonders with the sweat of their brows, so to speak. And an extreme dedication to the task, with great financial cost, and using the most basic of mechanical aids, such as levers. But there is no evidence that any aliens participated, or that anything other than simple techniques were used to quarry the blocks and transport them. The archeological evidence shows us where the masses of workers lived, and even what they ate.  And while there are questions on what style of ramp was used to create the pyramids, there is little doubt ramps were used. We also have examples of where the Egyptian learned by their mistakes, i.e. the "Bent Pyramid". So as exciting an idea as it might be to think Aliens had something to do with the Egyptians, there simply isnt any evidence for it. Instead, the Epgytian, Roman, Sumerian, and other civilizations' engineering feats are a monument to the imagination, will, and determination of men to express themselves.

  7. There are a lot of theories on how the Egyptians created their masterpieces. Alien contact is one fantastic idea, but most likely, these massive projects were the result of slave labor, beasts of burden, and time.

  8. Well when you say it like that it makes it sound like you're thinking of one person moving gigantic rocks. lol. I mean they were master mathematicians, they had tools like squares and protracters, that were like 2,500 years ahead of thier time. If you have basic tools, it really isnt that hard to construct, all you need is man power.

As for aliens. Who knows? I dont rule out the possibility of them but I kind of think it hard for the Egyptians to have had alien help because i figured the pyramids wouldent look so primative then. I mean here comes some guy flying across the universe in a metal spaceship that we've never seen before and he tells us we should make a pyramid out of rocks. It just seems to have misteps in logic.
