Because the early men found a way to hunt for their food every day and night and every night before they would go to bed, they sat around campfires, found some wood, and then made fires around by rubbing sticks onto the wood using friction. This was all back in the cavemen day. Now today, we have electricity so we don't have to go through what all the cavemen have been through and they're not around on this planet anymore.

The early man hunted and completed most of his work at day time.Moonlight was always there as it is now which helped him.He stayed indoors inside the caves  in which he lived when it was dark as there were beasts around.With the discovery of fire ,the wild beasts could be kept away and they could also cook food.
