  1. Real GDP in Q101 was $10021 billion. In Q108 (last reported quarter), it was $14201B. That's 42% in seven years (19% deflated). Not bad considering we had the 9/11/01 shock in there. Things really didn't take off until Congress reduced taxes on capital in 2003.

The unemployment rate since 2001 has been fairly low -- about the same as during the1990s and  less than during the 70s and 80s.

  2. taking into consideration that 911 rocked the stock market,  after which it was making a firm (not solid) come back until the democratic congress took over two years ago, since then it has been spiraling downward

before the change in congress I'd give Bush a B- on the economy as he really doesn't have much influence on it.....since ..........read the rest

On Afganistan he gets a D- for not getting Bin Laden before committing resources to Iraq

On Iraq he get a F for not first killing all the liberal press before going into Iraq full force

On immigration I give him an F---, in fact I'd call him a TRAITOR for letting it deteriorate to the current situation

I voted for him and given the alternatives, Gore in 2000 and Kerry in 2004, I would do it again.....all the choices were garbage....but eight years of him is enough........clearly I am as eager for him to leave as he is to go...........the problem.........who's next......the choices are garbage again

Obama, a brilliant and confident speaker, seems to be nothing more than that........I've listened carefully to find the substance and it isn't there.

McCain, a needs to break with tired party tradition and join forces with a VP canidate that can help bridge the divide.

The question was about the economy and Bush.....

not really fair as the president doesn't control this area..

but he allowed other detrimental factors that drained the American people, so to that being said, he gets a F, he didn't earn an F, he get's that because he violated his oath of office and betrayed the American people by selling out to the oil companies, mismanaging Iraq, selling out on immigration.

I've been alive since Truman, we had some ugliness with LBJ and Nixon, but only Bush 43 falls into the category of TRAITOR
