How did the n***s rule the countries they invaded?

...... did they set up puppet regimes that cooperated with their n**i view point and to give the appearance that the leaders of those countries were behind the occupation? or did they just rule with total military might?

  1. They set up puppet regimes that cooperated with their forces and accepted n**i ideologies. In the case of France - Henri-Philippe Petain led the right-wing government of Vichy France. The governments of Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Austria, and all those which fell in to the influential sphere of Germany through the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact cooperated by and large with the occupying forces. At the beginning of the war, resistance was very sporadic, but gained momentum as the war continued, particularly in the Balkans.

    It's the template that is used by occupying forces in the present day.
