  1. they had more kids than that, but some will Say there were more people here and others will say they slept with sisters and brothers etc. so nobody really knows.

  2. Well, if you read Genesis, Cain went off to the land of Nod and took a wife.  That makes me think that there were other people, Adam and Eve were just the first two in the line that God's story chose to follow.  When God created "man" I believe that meant human kind.

Yes, it's a bit hazy, but I think my interpretation makes more sense than a bunch of incest that God later condemned.  If it's wrong, it's wrong.  God doesn't change His mind about right and wrong I don't think.

  3. Sisters as wives and some wives no sisters ,

but after Noah They start with wives normal.

    Ge 6:18

18 But I will establish my covenant with you, and you will enter the ark—you and your sons and your wife and your sons' wives with you.

  4. I believe what the Bible says to be true. I also belive the Catholic church has left some parts out. There must have been others created outside of Adam and Eve, just that they were FIRST!

  5. The story of Adam and Eve is a fable, like all the other fables in the bible. There is no way of telling when humans evolved to be humans.

  6. Cain and Abel were sister f ckers.  We are all here due to inbreeding, if you believe the Christians.

  7. There could well have been a number of other children of Adam by that time, including daughters. The Bible’s silence as to the names of Adam’s daughters presents no difficulty, since the birth of daughters was rarely mentioned and they were only occasionally named in the genealogical lists. But the Bible does actually tell us, in its summary of Adam’s life, that “he became father to sons and daughters.”—Gen. 5:4, 5.

There were no other races of humankind—no family of humans predating man, or having a separate origin, as some have conjectured in trying to answer the question about the origin of Cain’s wife. The statement of Adam and the name Eve itself preclude this. For the Bible says: “After this [after God’s passing of sentence] Adam called his wife’s name Eve [meaning “living”], because she had to become the mother of everyone living.”—Gen. 3:20.

The inevitable conclusion is, then, that Cain married one of his sisters.

  8. Well Population Genetics appears to suggest our effective breeding population was less than 10,000 at some stage. Mitochondrial DNA analysis suggests we are all descended from a single woman while Y chromosome analysis seems to suggest a single male ancestor, although at a much later stage.....so yes, Genesis is essentially correct: One man, one woman and a handful of our species of hominid. Infact, I think it suggests the coexistence of other men..in the land of Nod...some sort of race memory of homo erectus ?????

  9. they married their sisters

Then Cain and Abel's children and the other sons and daughters of Adam married each other until the population was many.

  10. Adam & Eve were the first in the garden, not on earth. After Cain slew Abel he was banished from the garden. He told Elohim(god) ,my punishment is to great . Everyone who finds me shall slay me. Who was going to slay him Adam & Eve? He went out ,married and built a city. There had to have been other people.

  11. It is perfectly okay to believe that Cain married a sister and that other sons and daughters of Adam and Even married.

But first, consider a few points from Genesis:

    Adam was the first man

    - Adam lived for 930 years

    - Eve was given her name because it meant "the mother of all living"

    - Adam and Eve had many sons and daughters

    - Everything was very good when first created

    - This goodness was marred when "by one man sin entered the world"

    - The creation was cursed by God when Adam sinned

    - Abraham was married to his half-sister

    - The laws of incest had their origin only at the time of Moses

Genesis confirms that Adam and Eve were the only humans God created at that time and they were told by God to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth with their offspring.  The Bible tells us that Adam and Eve's descendants went and built cities.  Jewish tradition tells us that Adam and Eve had 33 sons and 23 daughters.

Many of us cringe at the thought of incest, but the law against it was not established until the time of Moses.  And, with Adam and Eve being created perfect, there was no risk of birth defects by marrying a close relative.

By the time of Moses, 2500 years later, degenerative mistakes would have accumulated to such an extent in the human race that it would have been necessary for God to create these laws.  It would also keep the Jewish race strong and healthy and would protect families from the psychological damage caused by incestuous relationships.

If evolution were true, science would have an even bigger problem to solve than where Cain got his wife, namely, how could man ever evolve by mutations in the first place, since that process on that basis would have made everyone's children deformed?  The mere fact that even brothers and sisters can produce offspring which are still largely undeformed is a testimony to creation, not evolution.

  12. Assuming Genesis isn't bullshit, it would be a metaphor- Unless you are willing to accept that there was a lot of incest going on.

  13. They had far more children than just Cain and Abel (and Seth). They had many many children. In the Bible we're given the lineage of Adam through Seth because it's through Seth's line that the Antediluvian Prophets came from.

(ex. the line from Adam to Noah is:

    Adam

    Seth

    Enos

    Cainaan

    Mahalaleel

    Jared

    Enoch

    Methuselah

    Lamech

    Noah)

We shouldn't understand from that, however, that they had no other children. They had quite a bit. There are some sources that say the real reason Cain killed Abel was because Cain wanted to marry the "sister" that was betrothed for Abel. So there's alot of evidence outside of the Bible to support that there were alot more children and that only the "important" one's were mentioned.

  14. Some other mystical forest filled with unicorns, fairies, and happy talking animals.

  15. The bible does not say where they came from.It is best to speak when the bible speaks and be silent when the bible is silent.

  16. 1. Women from 'somewhere else' were their wives.

    -or-

    2. They married thier relatives.
