God had given them dominion over the Earth, anything in their way was expendable, and anything they did was justified because they spreading the Kingdom of Christ and bringing His message to the heathen.  The First Thanksgiving was in celebration of the successful massacre of a Native American village, and it became a National Holiday with the start of the Indian Wars, we weren't invited to the table until the 20th century, when the History got re-written.
