    All of the responsibility falls upon the Captain, not the iceberg or the ship.

  8. It sank because Her builder used inferior metal when they cast the rivets that hold it together. It hit an iceberg and instead of containing the water in one compartment, the rivets gave out from the pressure and that allowed the other chambers to fill up thus causing the Titanic to sink. If the builders used superior metals when building Her, we wouldn't be talking about it.

  13. The ship hit an iceberg which punctured 5 compartments this was two compartments too many for the ship to stay afloat. The water coming in caused the ship to sink lower in the water until the water tight walls were topped by water like an ice tray when 1 cube is full it fills the next the same happened to the titanic.
