  4. The afghainstan goverment was partically ruled by the taliban, this corrupt terrorist group helped plan and execute the 9/11 bombings on the twin towers in new york. However there is a lot of dipute as to whether the 9/11 triggered the war or the war on terrosim was already planned. It can be seen in the U.S. military documents that the counter terrosim was actually already planned before hand but it also can be said that perphaps the 9/11 sped up the course of action. The offical Afghanistan goverment requested the U.N.'s help in it's situation with the the taliban which is also a commonly made mistake (it's not just the united states).  The tailban also asociates itself with Al Qaeda however both are seperate political groups. There are many articles that you can read for yourself in newspapers and the internet. There are also many conspiracy theories however it's up to you what you do and don't believe. I think it's all rubbish personally!
