We were fixing the carpeting in my old apartment i got down on my knees to fix a lose spot and I asked my husband for a hammer and instead he put the ring in my hand, i was shocked and didnt say yes for 2 years but i did.

My fiance had planned a wonderful weekend away to a secluded cabin. He had gone down early and set up a lot of little surprises like rose petals scattered everywhere, a special ordered stuffed monkey (long story) and a mix CD set to play our song when he hit the remote in his pocket. When he came back into town, he stopped out and asked my parents for their blessing and then came to my house. I was excited to get away for the weekend and we left almost immediately after he arrived. Unfortunately, a freak ice storm had popped up and we couldn't even get a mile from my house before we had to turn around and go home. So instead of the cabin and rose petals, we danced to our song in my kitchen while heating up frozen pizza. I was completely shocked when he dropped to his knee and asked me to marry him.

My husband proposed to me in the very traditional way, on his knees and with a ring, on the venue of our first date :) That was the way I had always wanted to be proposed. It was very sweet and I loved it. Also, he had all my family and his family gathered there in another room :) They all came and congragulated us after the proposal :)

Michael took me to "visit his grandmother" at her home on Long Beach Island. We had some time to kill so wedrove down to the lighthouse at Barnegat. After climbing the lighthouse and taking a picture we descended to the rock wall below to check out the view. As we stood looking out across the bay Michael stood in front of me, took me in his arms and asked me how much I loved him. I replied "alot..." and he repeated the question asking, "do you love me enough to marry me?" after which he produced a gorgeous ring. I thought he had found the ring on the ground and said, "where did you get that?!" After Mike sorted out the issue and explained that the ring was in his pocket he said, "Will you marry me??" and I replied with a robust "shut UP!" followed by a hearty "YES!!!"

I had been wanting to go to this awesome restaurant and we had finally been able to get in because they were not booked or over crowded. You can see the sunset and the view of the lake. He asked me there which was great and something I will always remember. He asked on his knee and with the ring in hand. Our daughter was there. It's a moment I will never forget.
