How did tiger wood's injure his knee?

I watched tiger in the U.S. open and they kept talking about his knee. I play golf every so often but I haven't kept up with the news the last 6 months. They kept talking about his knee but they never said how he injured it or how long ago. How?

Could be related to performance-enhancing drugs.   Bad things happen when you build up the muscle too much but not the attaching ligaments.    Joint problems are common for steroid and HGH abusers.   I'm not saying he's using, just throwing it out there.   Why should he be above speculation in this day and age?

He had his third surgery on it a couple months ago, so it has been an injury that he has had for years.  It comes from swinging so hard and putting so much stress on that joint.  Over his lifetime he has hit an infinite number of shots and it wears on you especially the left knee which absorbs all the force of impact and follow through.  John Daly's back will never hold up either with that swing he uses.

He tore his ACL jogging at home after the British Open last year.  He decided to hold off on surgery to see if he could get through the end of the season.  He had the surgery this spring to clean out cartilage damaged by the torn ACL.  He discovered the two stress fractures in his knee just before the Memorial this year, and it was these stress fractures that gave him all the pain at the Masters and the US Open.  He damaged the knee further by playing last week, but Id say hes got his priorities in order.  He won the US Open, didnt he?

The golf swing puts pressure on muscles and joints, especially the knee.  As fast as Tiger's swing is, and as much as he practices, its probably due to a combination of the two.

I have the same question.  

I tore mine up by a motorcycle accident.  I don't think jogging could tear one of the four ligaments in his knee and cause two fractures.

I would like to think there was kama sutra involved with Elin.
