anyone else notice that three of the top four finishers in the pit-crew competition were toyotas? i knew somehow those sneaky toyota guys would manage to get more horsepower out of their guys.

i think they planned this long ago, and made sure to get team red bull involved - it gave them the advantage of having wings. and m&m's and fedex - a sugar rush, for when it absolutely has to be there overnight...

i smell a conspiracy...all the signs are there. can you read them?

  1. It is because Toyota has dedicated pit crew teams that are paid far more than other teams and they only pit the car.  They don't have multiple duties like fabrication and construction back at the shop.

During the week, other teams' pit crews are working on the car.  Toyota pit crews are training, because they are paying other people to work on the car as well.

Money makes the world go round and Toyota is spending it.

  2. That 83 team was impressive. Maybe they were using Dave Chappelle's "Red Balls" for the suspected horsepower advantage. Those guys were just awesome.

It seemed to come down to the 40 yard push most of the time, and that's where the really fit teams came in.

I just wish Rick Pigeon wouldn't have made that little mistake.

  3. I am really impressed that the 83 won.   Congrats to the team. As long as it wasn't the 18 I would of been happy whoever won.

  4. most of the pit crew and coaches (yes, the pit crew has coaches) practice all year around.  where as the drivers are only around their cars for a few days during the week.  so as to rigging their cars, it's not happening.  toyota just had a slight advantage due to the fact that they might have more experience.  it's not a conspiracy.  if you believe in conspiracy, are there aliens at area 51?

  5. I think you may hit on something, with the Red Bull and sugar rush. Could it be the Toyota crews were more than Amped up? Maybe  a secret mixture for the gas tank?

  6. There must be a grassy knoll is N. Carolina! LOL    ;) Thats my therory and Im sticking to it.

  7. Well partner, did the sponsors of 07 and 9 have a "samples" booth set up?Sounds like the therory that was created over a tall cool one or a short "JackBlack".But then "Crown" may have had a tasting going on.Then "Lite" was running low but do not fear "The coors" express came thru.

So by the time your out of the entry concorse you don't give a good rat's rump who wins.

    What was the question?

  8. I like the Monty Python reference Governor........

Well, if it has to be told, I'll tell you.

    No wait, I can't.

If I tell you I will have to kill you.

And the witness protection program sux, so it's just not worth it. You will have to suffer like all the rest.

    BWaahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  9. I did see most of the Toyota team's crew members arriving at the competition via black helicopters.  In all seriousness, I'd bet that Toyota has funded and strongly encouraged their teams to start incorporating crew members only into their teams.  The 83 and 84 crews basically do nothing but train, practice pitstops and how to fix wrecked cars.  They do not work on the cars and have other duties in the shop during the rest of the week, for the most part.  This is a new concept that I'm sure you will see other teams and manufacturers copying as the stakes get higher and higher in the Sprint Cup Series.  Congrats to the 83 crew, those guys were really fast and extremely consistent all night.  The fact that they did that all, with NO violations or penalties was what impressed me the most.  They have obviously worked hard and deserve their day in the sun

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  10. I don't think that it was rigged.  If it was, the # 18 team would have won.  lol j/k

Congratulations to the # 83 team - well done!

  11. To be honest, I think that Toyota has had their eye on NASCAR for years. Last year was just putting their wheels on the track in competition. This year they will take the sport by storm. In all areas, in all senerios. Pit competition, all star race, regular races and even the championship. They already have the comocazee pilot.

It is however the same guys driving and working on the cars that worked on the american cars so, maybe, they are just better?

  12. They used their samuri speed.

  13. they wore all on red bull lol

  14. I think someone needs to call Mulder and Scully in on this one!

  15. the car did not win the team did...........the car had nothing to do with it
