How did visual art affect Ancient Egyptian life?

  1. Hmmm.    In ancient days art was seldom secular. It was usually bound up tightly with religious life.   When i think of the tomb paintings, or paintings on the walls of temples, or hieroglyphs, i think of their significance and connection with mythology and the deities.  I would assume the people back then did, too.

    Thus, the art was iconic and served as a connecting point to religious life and experience.  It helped everyone to get in "better" touch with their gods and goddesses.
