  1. Im atheist, but I was raised christian. I remember the first time I started to question god. I was 8 years old and I asked the minister of our church "If God made the world in 7 days and people didnt exist the same time as dinosaurs, then where did the dinosaurs fit in?" His answer was "The bible doesnt say how long those days were." and then he just walked away. Since then I have asked many more questions and still didnt get any decent answers. In fact I was about 14 when I first heard about scientology and thought "that must be what I am because I believe science explains the world to me" then I found out what scientology was...

It just seemed that every question I had about the bible was answered, and contradicted by scientific fact.

At about 15 I heard rumors about how things in the bible could have easily been mistranslated, such as "walking ON the water" is EXTREMELY close to "walking BY the water" and the word that means "virgin" is EXTREMELY close the the word that means young woman. How can we be sure that these scrolls were translated correctly, especially King James version, of course a king is gonna make something say what he wants, hes the king.

I called myself agnostic for a while but now they have come up with all these amazing explanations about evolution(which has been proven) the birth of OUR universe and things like that I just cant believe in a higher power anymore.

  2. I am a spiritual person and have a close relationship with God. I don't belong to a religion or a church. I respect how all people believe. I grew up in a home where my parents were nonbelievers, I've believed for as long as I can remember. As I became older my feelings grew stronger and I my reverence for God is greater than any feeling I have. I was never influenced by anyone to feel the way I do. These are my natural feelings. To tell myself anything other than something I truly feel and what I feel a strong pull towards, would feel like I was fooling myself. I couldn't feel anything different if I tried my hardest. I am a very open minded person and I believe that through life I can change my view about things but the way I believe in God will never change.

  3. I am not religious due to the lies, hatred, bigotry and intolerance that many christians and others show plus I could never believe

  4. By accepting that I cannot grasp scientific facts and logic.

  5. I don't have a RELIGION. Christianity is my LIFESTYLE. And the first step would be to find a local church you like.

  6. You get a lobotomy.

  7. It started with a 'seed' from my mother!

    GOD BLESS YOU!

  8. Mummy said she'd stop their pocket money if they didn't.

  9. God did it.

  10. I tried living life in the fast line, not hanging with the people I should have, and doing what I should not be doing.  It was all about me,getting what I wanted, and getting it fast.  The more I got the more I wanted, I was never really happy. I was just content for a very small amount of time. I could not trust my friends because they were like me. And when you mess up  they will not be there unless you have something they want.

My life changed about 7 years ago, it not about me, I know what my purpose is,I have never been better than I am today.

  11. I was an atheist, then I read the Bible objectively and in context. Now I am a Christian. Then I studied Christian history. Now I am a Catholic Christian.

  12. I never believed the Catholic religion, but I always believed Christ.

  13. I was brought up in a more religious time and in a fairly religious family.  My mother, an anthroplogist, also taught Sunday school.  I sang in the church choir starting in third grade.

In early adolescence I attended a two year Bible study course.  In a way, it was that course that began to direct me towards Islam.

For me, core belief that God is One, and the availability of a historically autheticated revelation, plus the sheer logic of the faith, attracted me to Islam.

It's a long story.  If you'd like, take a look at my little webpage.

  14. Common sense!

Read the Quran and you will see! Forget about the ignorant Muslims who misinterpret Islam. Look at the real Islam, the life of the prophet Muhammed and you will see for yourself. :)
