How did you decorate your nursery?

I did my whole nursery for under $300...

Almost everything was bought at yard sales, thrift stores, consignment shops...

The dresser and shelves I already had, just repainted...

I picked up my first set on a closeout table! I have done hula girls, then turned it into a surfer girl room and a tropical fish theme.  

I get bored with one look pretty easily, so I use the same basic background and change it around to keep it fresh.  I get ideas from this site.  People post pictures of their nurseries to enter a contest there so there are real nurseries designed by real people; not store displays.

they have vinel wall stickers that match... dragonflys and daisys and we are painting a vine with leaves on one of the walls and using the flower stickers. i am also painting a green chalkboard wall so my lil girl can be artistic.  after we got all this stuff i was thinking that i should have done dots and stripes instead. it would be much easier to match that kinda stuff. if we had a boy i wanted pirate theme

I wish I had a nursery :'( we can't afford a place that will let us paint the walls. Our crib, which is in the computer room, is a dark cherry color with a very modern, sleek look to it (no carvings or anything). We're probably having a girl, but we went with blue because it was so versatile. Light blue/chocolate brown is the theme. It looks chic for being purchased at Wal-Mart.
