  1. I only had one taken out yesterday. I was awake for it and just had them numb it. It didn't bother me really, just  alot of pressure. I have a bigger fear of being put to sleep than that, so it was no biggie for me. Only thing I would recommend is getting your pain prescription filled RIGHT AWAY after leaving the dentist/oral surgeon. I live an hour away from my oral surgeon. By the time I got to town and dropped off my prescrip, it was going to be 45 min before it was ready. the Novocaine wore off and i was in tremendous pain! As soon as my hubby got home with it, i took one and felt better about 20 minutes later and have stayed nice and drugged up ever since lol. I've been throwing up, but i think it's from taking my percocet and antibiotic on an empty tummy. I forgot to take one pain pill this morning cause the pain is already a ton better.

  2. I was put to sleep. They only pulled out 2 of mine. But when I woke up I didn't feel any pain. And when you're up, don't try to talk because when you do, there's not a person in the world that could translate what you say. You also feel light headed with blurred vision.

They do hurt after though, and when the gauze needs to be changed, you do taste the blood and it's the worst thing in the world.

  3. I was put to sleep and had no pain. I never even had to use the pain pills.

  4. I had all 4 impacted wisdom teeth cut out of my gums the same day and I  was awake during the whole procedure. I had a local anesthesia .

I was fine during the surgery , but when the anesthesia wore off the pain was absolutely unbearable , and my cheeks were swollen for about 2 months afterwards .   It was painful , but definitely worth it .  The best $1000 I've ever spent

Although if your getting them pulled it might not be as painful  as getting them cut out

  5. they didnt give me a choice, they put me to sleep... haha have fun its the most miserable thing after....

  6. i got all four of mine pulled but they had to cut open my gums to get them, and i did get put to sleep, they put this mask on my nose and i had to breath in and it made me feel tingly. then they sprayed stuff on my arm so that i wouldn't feel it when they started my IV. then next thing i knew i was in the recovery room, crying and shaking, which they say is normal. then my mouth/chin didn't even feel like it was mine. it was to weird! then after the numbing stuff wore off I started to feel the pain. and getting the gauze changed is a pain and its gross cause its soaked in blood. and its really hard to talk after! hope this helped

  7. I had one taken out a few weeks ago.  I had several injections to numb the area and they pulled it.  It was nothing.
