I have just got there and I am feeling a bit wobbly!

When I go out and about I feel invisible and unimportant!

I don't know where the years have gone and can't see much in front of me!

Did anyone else feel like this? Does the feeling pass?

  1. It's called reviewing your own mortality!

Make the most of life, get out and enjoy, we are all getting old, it's an irreversiblele process, but it does not mean that we have to feel depressed!

Join some social clubs, get to meet people, travel, have fun, free bus pass lovely jubbly, winter fuel payment, what else are we entitled to?

  2. Dont think about age, think positive, you are on the computer asking the question,so lets face it you are keeping up to date with computers,i bet not all your friends can use a computer, some people think they are in their dotage at 40 nevermind 60,its a state of mind, enjoy each day to the full.

  3. that has been so long ago i have not the foggiest!!!

  4. I will give you a longer answer than what you get, short change.

I am 65, little older than you but much more fresher and young at heart to live the next portion of life, the fulfilling one.  Think this way and act it and you will be alright.

Are you staying in a remote country or ulu place to feel so dejected in life at age of 60?  Currently, 55 is just the start and you get old only after 80.  Please change your mind-set.

To be young, you must act young -----play and talk with the younger group and do their activities such as: dancing, hiking, swimming, singing, travelling, jog & slow run.   Have a challenging heart to overcome your dull mind......and you must keep on telling yourself what you must do to keep young, fit and healthy.  Do you have a residents centre or a community Club to provide you with all kind of activities to cut away your loneliness.   Make sure you are always WANTED by others and least by yourself,  Ok let start-off.

  5. life goes fast but hey, it's the longest thing you'll ever do :)

  6. I'm getting there (54)

I feel the opposite that you do - I'm making plans for the next 25 years still, then I figure I'll look around and see what I want to do next.

It's all in the way you approach life.

I figured out 10 years ago that I'm not going to get out of life alive, so that's the worst the world can do to me.

It conveys a sense of power.
