How did you first discover American Girl dolls?

I think a magazine was randomly mailed to my house, and after 1 Bitty Baby and 3 dolls, the rest is history!

same as me! when I was about 5 or 6 a magazine was randomly mailed to my house! and Christmas was coming up so for Christmas I got Samantha cuz she looks just like me! since then I still play with my ag dolls! I have 6! :- )

The best American Girls are the early ones, they will be marked Pleasant Company on the back. They have thicker hair, that was before Mattel bought the dolls. I have always heard that the Dolls body was designed by Corelle the French Company.

This year I sold a American girl three story doll house, it was huge. Have fun!

i love american girl dolls!

i first discovered it from my sisters who used to have ag dolls i'm not sure how they did but i think it was from my grandma who lives by one of the stores. But now i collect them and get the cataloges and magazines! they are AWESOME! how many do you have 3 dolls 1 bitty baby! wow! i have the bitty twins, 1 bitty baby (which is kind of old now because i got it when i was little), and 2 going on 3 dolls.
