  1. I walked by him...

  2. I didn't I asked her and it was by just asking!

  3. He pursued me for weeks and we took our time getting to know each other. We worked together and I knew the risk of dating him and to be honest we worked in different counties (long story) and as I got to know him I started to like him and vice versa. He asked me out and I flaked on him. Then we made plans the following week and went out and that was the rest is history.

  4. i stalked him.  hahaha.  Not really, I'm kidding.  We worked at the same restaurant and we we both dating other people.  My boyfriend went on a mission (for our church) and his girlfriend was getting ready to leave on a mission.  i started stopping by to "pick up" things after school on the days he was working.  I asked him to tutor me in math and we hit it off!

  5. We met on Eharmony and I was really enjoying talking to him. I was ready to meet him and was considering suggesting the topic, but he was ready to meet me too, so he ended up asking me first anyways. He was all "I really like talking to you, but if you aren't ready . . . " Of course I was very ready and we met a few days later and everything was and is perfect. :)

  6. We went to eat at IHOP after clubbing and as we were saying our goodbyes he asked me if I wanted to hangout the next day.It wasn't love at first sight when we first saw each other, but the next day we hit off well.About 3 yrs later he porposed.

  7. It was a blind date that we were set up on, he called, we set a time and date.  That was that!

  8. Actually, I kept turning him down. I had no intention of getting involved with a guy with 3 kids.  Been there, done that, had my heart torn out twice.  He was persistent, so I finally gave in.

  9. My husband was my diving buddy in Scuba class. We were friends and then started hanging out.

I've never had a problem asking a guy out, though. I don't need to "get" guys to ask me out.

  10. I had nothing to do with it lol. We'd known each other for 10 years. After we were both done college and home, he emailed and asked me to dinner to catch up. The rest, is history (and the future!).

  11. She actually asked me out....But act casual and ask away....

  12. I didn't have to - my mom dared me to ask him out, and I did! Long story... but it unfolded nicely, and we're happily married.

  13. he was leaving for Iraq about 5 months after we met...so he kept saying how it would be nice for us to go out before he left...I just said ok :)  He tried to make me feel bad and go out w/ him just cause he was going to war :(  it worked and we got married 2 months after he came home!

  14. my husband and i worked together and whenever we saw each other we always made a point to stop and talk or tickle each other but neither one of us realized that we liked each other that way. we had known each other for awhile but just never thought of each other that way. after awhile some of the girls i work with started to notice us flirting with each other and kept telling me that i liked him. i kept saying that i didn't until they asked me if i would let anyone else in the store tickle me and i said, no way. then my manager asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said, who wants to know. well then it was like high school flash back and one of the girls went and got his phone number and gave him mine. later that night he sent me a text message and then called me. we have been together ever since and actually got engaged 3 months after that day, crazy i know, but i guess that once we both looked at each other "that way" we just knew. our 1st wedding anniversary is comming up, august 17 :)

so i guess that without my friends there never would have been a first date, let alone an anniversary.

  15. We met on Myspace on a Monday. We chatted online and on the phone, and he asked me to meet and go to the movies that Saturday.

  16. I would never “get” someone to ask me. If I wanted a date I would have asked for it.

That said, we never really had one. We lived in the same dorm and ran with the same crowd. We started hanging out and before I knew it I was in his room basically all the time. It just happened. I can’t even tell you when we finally went on a “date.”
