How did you manage to pass your ABRSM G6 Violin practical exam?

Describe your playing during the exam i.e pieces, scales, sight reading, aural..

Answer 1

Pieces...Practise until you have difficulty playing a wrong note at all. Use lots of expression. Remember diminuendos, accelerandos, staccatos etc. Emphasise them, but not in a stilted way.

Scales.. write them all down on a piece of paper and drop them into a hat. Pick them out at random and do them. Reeat until you can do all of them by memory.

sight reading.. practise. find random books you havent seen before and dig in!

As for aural, get your music teacher to help you with that one!
