I'm curious to hear stories.

For the second question, we just admitted our love for each other. We have been best friends since we met in middle school 12 years ago and are now grad students. She is literally the only reason why I'm still alive. I want children with her, and I never had wanted kids until we started dating. She is so amazing. I also know what ring she would want. Should I propose?

Thanks. I'm excited to hear your stories, too.

  1. yes propose.

sorry i have no story. im not engaged...yet.

  2. idk

  3. Life is short and if you really truly love her then go for it! If you can see forever with her go for it!

tommorrow is not promise to anyone!

  4. I bought a pillow that my wife liked and put it in a box and wrapped it up.  I took it to the restaurant that we were going to before i picked her up.  We had dinner and when we were done the manager came out with this box and handed it my wife.  she opened it up and there was a letter that said, "Give this pillow to the one you love and he will explain its purpose."  She gave it to me and i said to her i got it for her because i knew how much she wanted it and i wanted her to be happy.  then i said the real reason for the pillow was for me and she was like for what?  I proceeded to put it on the floor, knelt down and pulled out the ring and proposed.  Every girl in the restaurant was crying, even the wife.  That was 6 years ago and we are still deeply in love.  Plus you'll probably get your meal for free like we did.

    Hope this helps

  5. go for it ... you only live once ... enjoy it while you can with the one you want..

  6. if you're certain tht she feels the same way about you then yes! DO IT!

  7. So cute!

    Proposal Idea 1:

I like the whole 'runaway cab' idea. You could rent a cab for a few hours and then ask someone you know that she doesnt know to drive her to a location like a building downtown and have the driver (your friend) give her like little note cards with hints on where you are she will have to answer the question correctly, whether it be what is YOUR middle name, if she answers correctly she gets to go somewhere else until she finds you.

You could be in some deserted building or whatever somewhere that isnt a popular spot or is a popular spot and have the cab driver hand her the ring box that is inside a bigger box wrapped and have him ask her to give this to you.

She doesnt know a ring is inside and she will say like 'oh where have you been?' and you said 'i was lost looking for this box right here.' (the one she gave you). She should say 'why that box? or oh" Then you get in the car with her and drive to a busy street, a park or whatever location and propose.

    Proposal Idea 2:

Another idea is when you get back in the car take her to Tiffany & Co. or some jeweler and say pick out a ring. YOU HAVENT PICKED ON OUT YET! SHE WILL! (so the box is empty for this idea) She picks one out. BUT DONT TELL HER WHAT THE RING IS FOR. Give her the empty wrapped box and have her open it she will say 'theres nothing in it' you say 'thats becuase this is supposed to be!' then you propose to her with the ring of her choice.

    Alterative for idea 1:

After you get the box and she ask why you want it take her to a park and have her open it!

    SURPRISE!! WOOWOO

    haa that would be fun!

If you dont pick mine thats fine. I hope you have fun doing it other ways! Congrats!

  8. If she is the only reason you are alive definitely don't propose. Your happiness needs to come from yourself independently not because you are co-dependent on someone else. If you have no reasons to be alive besides her what do you have to offer her? sounds terribly unhealthy.

  9. We met in 2000 in the beginning of high school. We both always had the biggest crushes on each but we had never really spent any one on one time together. From 2003-2006 we would only see each other in passing. He had joined the Navy after school and I had moved away. In the winter of 2006 I moved back to the town where we had grown up and he was out of the Navy. We bumped into each other at Starbucks and we took down each others numbers and made plans to go Christmas shopping together that Saturday.  We went shopping and after that we still wanted to spend time with each other so we went to see a movie but the times of the shows were too long off to wait. We walked outside and he grabbed my hand and pulled me to him and kissed me it was like it was right out of a movie. He said come I have an idea of what we can you, it's a surprise. He had me close my eyes for most of the ride there...He had driven me to the beach. There we sat in the sand (mind you it was December 15, freezing!!) watching the waves. We ended up sitting there for 5 1/2 hours just talking. Anyways, fast forward to now we are happily engaged and been living together for over a year and our wedding is next summer. He proposed to me at the beach in the same spot that we spent our first date.

If you know she is the one, pop the question don't wait. Next summer I will be 23 and my fiance will be 24 that's a normal age to marry. Do what your heart tells you. Good Luck!!!

  10. I took her on a ride. "North" she said. When she pumped gas in Montreal, she spilled when I showed the ring. Max hug Canada was fantastic.
