How did you react when you first saw what happened on 9/11/2001?

The CIA could have stopped it. About a month before 9/11, the CIA found out that a few of the terrorist that hijacked the planes were traveling to the United States. The CIA and FBI should have better communications with eachother.

i think i was in about 7th grade at the time, i attended a small christian school and we were in history class when everybody found out. my history teacher starting flipping pretty much and we brought a tv into the room to watch the breaking news.....i didnt really understand what was going on i guess. but i knew it wasnt good at all. we all gathered in the halls to pray and thats what i remember of the day.....

It is a shame in a most powerful and hi-tech country.

It should have been covered up.

Where did they get all the on-the-spot video??

How did the commercial jets get to the city without intercepts??

What were the FBI and CIA doing before and after it happened??

What were the Pentagon, military and White House doing when it happened??

Why victims allowed to stay and vacate the building slowly??

Where were the Engineers and Management in charge of the buildings then?? What were they doing then??

The National defense never expect this kind of attack for sure!

I was in shock. I was eating cereal before going to class, and I couldn't believe my eyes. When I'd turned the television on, I saw the second tower of the world trade center collapse. It was very surreal. A kid in my class had a sister who worked at the world trade center. I can't believe that he actually made it to class. I think that everyone was in a daze that day. We'd never imagined that anyone would attack us like that.

I remember my mom crying for like an hour. We live in Canada so it didnt affect us much as a country but definetly as world, aswell as the other person, i was olny young. grade 4 i think. Now my eyes tear up when i see videos on it and stuff. what the **** is this world comming to? an end perhaps?

i was in shock.  i watched the plane hit the 2nd tower while they were reporting on the 1st being hit.  i cried, i was sad for the people i saw running in the streets.  i was also nervous that philadelphia (where i lived) would be hit as well.  it was a horrible thing to witness.

i was in fifth grade and didnt realize what a tragedy it was until i matured a little.
