How did you start wearing makeup?

I want to but i like am scared of what my parents will say. So how did you girls do it?

i just started wearing eyeliner all of sudden actually i was playing with my mom makeup haha and then i putted eyeliner on and i liked it so the next day i putted eyeliner on and my parents think it look great but if i put alot drama gonna start

i started wearing eyeliner as a point to my rebellion. in sixth grade i was emo. so i wore alot of eyeliner.

Start with lip gloss and a little mascara.  They are small changes that "brighten" your face without being overdone. I would imagine Mom would be fine with you starting there.

my mom was very strict on me for wearing make up, but how i convinced her was by telling that i wouldnt go to heavy on the make up.

my mum totally forbid me from wearing eyeliner

but when i was in year seven i started to wear it little by little

and my mum noticed alright

but she got used to it

well in 5th grade i started wearing a little bit of foundation and then in 6th grade i told my mom it was washing out my eyes so i started wearing mascara and then i added eyeliner in 6th grade to make my eyes look even bigger i didnt really talk to my parents i just kinda started using my moms stuff haha. just ask whenever you and your mom are alone "what do you think about me starting to wear a little bit of make up?" if shes like no, end of discussion. then write a persuasive letter and leave it on her pillow

I stared wearing makeup at the end of my Sophmore year in High School I was around 15.

Actually I started becuase my friends would put makeup on me in our Cosmetology class. I'm a senior Cosmetology student. I would go home and show my mom. And she was cool with it.

Then one day I wanted to go to Sally's Beauty Store to buy some nail polish and hair stuff. And I decided to go look in the makeup area and I asked my mom if I could buy some makeup and she said yeah.

Ever since then I've been buying and wearing makeup.

Wanting to wear makeup is just a sign of growing up.

It's also a good way of making yourself look more mature.

I'm 17 now and people think I look younger then I really am. I don't really like that. But if I have makeup on then I look more mature and my age.

What I did was this: I casually brung up make-up, and then I asked my mom if I could wear it. Just play with an eyeliner of your mom's or something and then ask. Good luck and I'm sure it will be fine! =)

I started wearing it when we went to parties and stuff, and then i wore eyeliner and a touch of blush, and asked my mom if she liked it, and if i could start with that...she said it was fine, and of course i went on with other stuff. (my mom always compares me with my sister, so i had to start when she did.)

YOUNGG> LIKE WHEN I WAS 9 i wore my mom's makeupp and blush and everything. it seemed SOOOO WeiRD AND interesting at the time and when i turned 12 i started wearing eyeliner.. and then foundation in 9th grade.:)

I had bad skin growing up especially with pimple scars. Therefore my mom understood my situation. I started only wearing foundation to make my skin look clear but I progressed every year.

probably start off with simple makeup so tehy get used to it, then keep adding in a lil more, for now well u are starting i would say just put on some mascara, and eyeliner comes later because you can always notice if someones wearing eyeliner, i remeber i just started usen makeup i didnt care what otha people thought i just acted like it wasnt even there....

I asked my mom and she wasnt completely sold on me just saying "can i start wearing makeup" so i promised i wouldnt wear very much and she had to check my first time and make sure she approved

I was always to embarassed even thinkin about wearing make up cause my brothers would slag me haha. I started at like 13, i have a real girlie friend that sometimes tried to put make up on me. I just got use to it then and all the comments :)

i asked my mother and she was like yeah

but i was entering 10th grade so i guess that's why

and i didn't wear much

just eyshadow and lipgloss every now and then
