My mother didn't teach me how exactly......i noticed that,that's what big girls do,and that was it.

Its all about making it fun and rewarding to me personally. I have trained my boy my girl is only 5 months so i dontknow about girls yet. I started doing at the same times every day and i didnt have him stand up although he does now. I think he was just very excited to pee in the big potty it was very easy for us even tho i hear alot of perole have trouble. I was be consistant with him/her and he/she will reward you with going to the potty.

My husband learned our son how to use the toliet... He showed him because they both have the same thing so it was easier for him to do it than me.

boys and girls are the same, they both train sitting down.  There are some common pitfalls that can prolong potty training.

Continuing use of diapers or pull-ups after training has begun.

Letting the child decide when to start training

Quitting training due to accidents

Forcing a child to sit on the potty

Expecting a child to answer this question "do you need to go potty?"

Choosing to train with bribes (it makes training seem optional or extra-curricular when it is actually as necessary as taking a bath and eating healthy food, unexpected celebration treats are fun, but bribes aren't helpful.)

Just put the potty in a high profile location and let them go bare-bottomed with a long t-shirt or underwear only.  When they have an accident put them on the toilet/potty and have them help clean up.  When they use the potty successfully praise them and celebrate.  If they understand what they are supposed to do and can hold it (keep a diaper dry about 3 hours) they can train.  Be prepared for accidents for a week or two, when they get the hang of things graduate to underwear and elastic waist pants.  Wear diaper covers or absorbant pants (jeans or similar) when going out and about.

Showed her the big girl potty, and all the little trinkets, but I made sure to tell her only nugets(p**p) and pitter(pee) go in the toilet. I took her shopping for undies (princess of course) put them on her, and she knew exactly what to do after four or five tries.

well my mother stop letting my baby brother using diaper. and she would tell her "when u need to go pee tell me or go pee in the toilet" and at night when he went sleep she would wear on a diaper for him so he wont peee in bed lmao
