  1. my fiance got off work and i thought that he was going to take a shower, then our daughter came out holding a little white box and she threw it at my face, nice huh, and i opened it, there was another little box so i opened that one too and to my surprise it was a ring so i walked over to our room and when i turned the corner he was on one knee, and well you know he asked me to make him the happiest man  and well were getting married in 2 months!

  2. It was Mother's Day! He had been out all night almost and he wouldn't answer my phone calls or text messages.  I was getting upset, so he finally got home and I was kinda' upset with him. Anyway, we went to sleep and the next morning he called me into our son's room to look at something, I hesitated at first, but then I thought maybe he put my mother's day gift there so I didn't wanto to ruin his surprise. I got up and went to the room and didn't see anything. When I returned to our room he was on one knee with the ring in his hand and he asked me. It took me a while to answer b/c I was in tears, i couldn't believe it! The reason he was out the night before was b/c he was asking my parents permission! I thought that was the cutest most best thing i the world! I have the most amazing fiance'!

  3. She didn't, I did!

  4. It was before his company Xmas party. I was finishing getting ready in the bathroom. Checking my hair, makeup that kinda thing. He was walking back and forth, back and forth in the living room. I could tell something was up but I just figured he was getting super hot in his suit. I walked out we hugged. He started to tell me a story about a conversation him and his dad had, "when you know you found the one" conversation. Then he reached in his pocket and grabbed the ring and asked. I was so shocked all I could say was "Are you sure" He still doesn't let me forget that! And then I said yes!

It was the best Xmas party I had ever gone too!!

  5. It happened on Dec 24, 2007 (Christmas's Eve).  It all started with my favorite stuff puppy animal named Coffee. I had Coffee since forever, and of course I brought Coffee with me when I moved in with my husband (boyfriend at the time).  His kids were playing with Coffee one day and they accidentally ripped along the back of Coffee.

On Christmas's Eve as I opened my gift from him...I saw Coffee in the box with perfect condition with a ribbon tide around his neck. (he sew Coffee up while when I go work out at the gym) There was a small blue box at the end of the ribbon.

At that time, I really thought that it was a necklace, because I told him a few months earlier that I wanted the "Journey Necklace".  However, as I opened the box, it was emptied with a small note in the box read..."I LOVE YOU".

As I looked up confused, he pulled out from his pocket a smaller box and went down on his knee.  He looked at me and said...."I love you so much.  I really want to spend the rest of my life with you.  Will you marry me?"

I threw my arms around him, cried, and kissed him.  It was one of the most beautiful rock I've ever seen.

P.S...I did get my "Journey Necklace" as well sooner after for my birthday. :-)

  6. I was away on a business trip about an hour north of New York City. It's pretty close to where his family lives in Connecticut, so the plan was that he was going to pick me up on Friday and we would go spend the weekend with his family. When he picked me up on Friday he asked me to get something out of the glove box for him. When I opened it up there was an envelope with a big red bow on it. I opened it and found two tickets to Rent on broadway! He said "I figured since we were so close to the city already, we could make an evening of it. We can go visit my parents tomorrow." So off we went to New York City. We spent the afternoon browsing the shops and seeing the sights, then we picked up some sandwiches for a picnic in Central Park. When we got to the park he opened up the backpack he'd been carrying to reveal a bottle of champagne pack with ice packs and two champagne flutes. We had our sandwiches and sipped champagne for a while, then he asked me to dance with him. Right in the middle of Central Park! While we were dancing, he dropped to one knee and pulled out the most beautiful ring I had ever seen! He asked me to marry him and I threw my arms around his neck and said yes. We both cried. It was the greatest day of my life. (So far...)

  7. X mas eve about 2 in the morning, on the beach in St Augustine about 40 degrees wind blowing about 25-30 mph... we grew up about 20 minutes west of st augustine and were up visiting for the holidays from central florida where we now live. For a few weeks he had insisted that we do something, just the 2 of us on X mas morning. with our busy schedules with family, i suggested x mas eve... we had planned to go to st augustine to go fishing( something that we both enjoy doing). we packed up some food, the grill, blankets and our gear and after evening services headed out to fish..on the way to the beach, took a stroll through historic downtown St Augustine. If youve never been at the holidays it is a site to see! very romantic.. Not only do you have all the old beautiful structure, it is covered, as well as all the grandfather oaks with over 2 million white lights .we go to the beach and after not being able to catch any bait.. we ate dinner and snuggled a bit, jared wanted to go for a walk on the beach. with protest i braved the elements and walk we did. about 10 minutes later,  he stopped... well i didn't pay attention and kept on walking. Next thing I know i hear him say Oh-****, look what I found! OMG look at this!!... Courious I turned around and there he was on one knee...  now it took me a minute to realize what was going on... there were a couple of things that were working aganst me. one was the cold, so i was bundled in a hoodie tied all over my face , feeling a little like Kenny and Jared was wearing one of those russian kinda hats with the flaps over the ears and a head lamp. so when i was looking down at him, all I could see was that d**n bright light, once he took the focus off me and onto what he "found" I was speechless. While casting for bait, he picked up 2 seashells and cleaned them out really good and acted like he found my ring in them...... The kicker.... EVERYONE KNEW BUT ME!!!  he even took my dad out to lunch to ask his permission!!! talk about SWEET!!!!

  8. My BF proposed to me this past July 20, on my b-day.  We had our first date on May 4.  Yup, only 2 1/2 months, but it feels like we've been together for years. He brought me downstairs, and there were two cards. I read the first, which was very sweet, then he gave me the 2nd, which he held as I read. It was about how he wants to spend the rest of his life with me, a very romantic wonderful card. At the end he wrote in "and I have a question I need to ask you from the depth of my heart" . I unfolded the card and it said "Will you marry me"?  I looked at the card, looked at him, looked back at the card...after 5 mins he said "well"?   I said yes.  And this is my first marriage - I'm 53 and he's 61!  Love comes when you're ready....never can it be forced....

  9. I don't have a cute story for this, but I love the way one of my friends was proposed to.  She was a junior in college at the time, and she went over to her boyfriend's house most nights.  One night, out of the blue, she opened the door to go in and he was on one knee with a ring!  I love the element of surprise in that one.  When a guy plans a super-romantic evening out, you can pretty much figure out what his plans are.  Something casual like my friend's fiance did really amps up the surprise factor.

  10. On the beach, He had me turn around and he wrote in the sand will you? and got down on one nee and said marry me? I said YES and we kissed!! It was the best day of my life so far!

  11. He took me to Lake Tahoe and hired a horse and carriage for Christmas morning.  The carriage stopped at the beach and let us get out for a while.  He walked over to the edge of the lake then pulled the ring (that he had wrapped for christmas) out of his pocket and went down on one knee.  I was so stunned and touched.  Of course I said yes!!!
