How different are Ping G5s versus Ping G10s?

Question

Looking at upgrading my irons (17 years old). I've hit a lot of clubs this spring, with club fitters, and the best clubs for my game of the 2008 models are the Ping G10s.

But I notice you can still buy new sets of Ping G5s. Can someone tell me the difference? Are the G5s similar? I'd hit them before I buy but if the difference is minimal from a technology standpoint I'd be OK with the 5s.

The difference is minimal! Although Ping wouldn't like it if they heard me say that. The difference is basically cosmetic. They both have similar design, weight, and size. So if you can find a set that fits your budget go for it.

I am a professional clubmaker, and my advice would be to talk to your clubfitter and let them help you make the decision that best fits your game.
