How different would space exploration and space knowledge be today if not for the Voyager missions?

  1. Most of our detailed knowledge of Uranus and Neptune comes from the Voyager missions.  The type of instruments on Cassini were determined in large part by the data from the Saturn flybys.  So, we'd be working about one prior mission back for all the outer planets.


  2. I personally don't think it would be all that different than now.

    I do think that...the Voyager missions have kind of enhanced our appreciation of our own technology and what it can do for long periods of time.

    Either way...I think if not for the Voyager probes..we would've found another way to explore the far reaches of our solar system ...and whatever may come after that.
