I am a young college student (male). I keep my body fit and healthy, I have abs, but not too much upper body like arms and such. Anyway my question refers to preferably the Toronto Eaton Centre location. If anyone knows or has been a model there whats it like? Good pay, benefits?

Thanks!

* Might as well as this too: Is it hard to just work in Abercrombie & Fitch and Hollister? Like for sales and stock?

  1. well looking at the posters, they're male models have a natural look to them and are very fit...like everywhere. and it kind of seems like they're picky about who models for them but im not sure...modelling differs between each job you get.

as for working for inside the store is totally different. there's being the model for the store, being impact, and then there's overnight. being a model inside the store is basically a sales representative. and the impact are people are the ones in the back stocking shelves and shipments. as for overnight, they basically stay late hours and stocking like putting things out in the store and in the back. models and impacts are the only employees that have to wear clothes from Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie, Hollister, and Rhule. They're pretty strict on what you wear like if you wear Hollister in Abercrombie it cannot have any sayings or the word hollister, only the hollister bird. also, you have to wear the jeans/shorts/skirts, etc from the store you work for because the pockets different between then stores even though they are run by the same company. the discount isn't bad either.

over-all it is a fun, fast pacejob.

  2. Any job where you are paid on commission is dog eat dog with a smile, and chipper attitude.

You simply have to realize you determine your check at the end of the week. and that each person you approach is a potently portion of that check.

there fore make one sale you must not sit down you must motivate your self to make ten more and ten more after that and after that.

After a bit of floor time you will come up with a sales pitch that sells a higher percentage of walk-ins than the other sales people, It is at that time you become the professional sales person not just a floor person.

And believe me that is when that sales job really becomes work,  because it is an Acting job then , the same words, actions, jokes, questions, repeated hundreds of times per day.

Boring I"d say, but the method I think of to get me through the most tiring of sales is bands that perform concerts.

The exact same show over and over the only difference is the name of the town or state of stage has changed.

the big Key to success is to save every cent you can because if you don't move into management and your in college now you will out age your customer base so you have to be preparing your self to move up to a higher class of retail store at any given time .

PS. If possible keep a customer list including full name occupation, marital status, address and phone number.  then for your next job Think Neim-man Markus!!1

before your age catches up with you.

  3. They find you, my cousin worked as an Abercrombie and Fitch model. The job sucks however, it's not as glamorous as you think.
