I see a lot of gems from Brazil selling in America. How difficult is it to purchase gems there from the source? Thank you.

Very easy. 65% of the colored gems in the world are mined in Brazil, so you can find it everywhere, and really cheap.

Not a problem to pass customs. People who told you that are WRONG. It is tax free if you buy from a certified store. You can buy from the big Brazilian companies (like H.
