How difficult is it to change a ranger 3.0 4x2 over to a standard transmission. 2 auto. in 1 year.?

  Its a   major change over but not impossible. I've done two like you want. but I went to a salvage yard and got all the barts from the same veh at the same time. you'll have to change the flywheel,starter ,bell housingng and drive line. You'll need to get the clutch peddle and linkage, along with the floor panel with the hole in it for the shifter and boot . also the neutral safety switch.It might be easier to find someone that knows how to rebuild an auto trans. it only takes about 2 days to change one over from a standard to an automatic if you have all the right parts to work with,i have done that in two days real easy,good luck.

it is not really easy dont be fooled, you would need to have a standard vehicle right with you to scrap when you attempt this as there are so much little odd pieces you will need links,spings,clips, the pedals and so much odd parts i know a mechanic who does this and he ofteh recomend that you have pretty much the supporting vehicle (to scrap ) and only then can you do it quickly and more stress free and it is not as simple as just boring holes for the pedal and blah blah (blah ,you need a qualified mechanic especially on todays modern vehicles ,get one to scrap or find a pro (dodge man said he did it in two days ,its possible after him in the trade for 37 years and he said if you have all the right parts that is the key as there are a lot of little parts that make a big difference to doing this  )

best bet and cost u less money get donor truck complete
