  1. No, don't try it. There is a little bit of an art to doing it well. And it is time consuming.

I have installed more than a few or been out to correct the attempted installation by customers that thought it was easier than it is.

With the older ones with screws it is easy to install it and make the door crooked.

Is it torn or loose?  If you are just having trouble with the door closing it could be the door (as in warped a little), hinges, or broken door closer.

    Good Luck.

  2.   Call a service tec. You might be able to replace it,but it's not a easy job.

  3. Hi. You may be able to do it yourself but it involves removing the old gasket and the glue holding it in place. It is messy and laborious. Then you have to get the correct fitting new one and glue it on. For exact instructions try to google "replace fridge door gasket". Good luck!

  4. Check the pricing, before you decide to do it. I found that our gaskets are over $100 each (freezer and refrigerator). It would be like $250.00 for an old refrigerator assuming I did it myself.

We are just going to get a new unit instead.
