How difficult is it to use the FMC on and aircraft?

specifically Boeing Airplanes.

Can you type? Then it's pretty easy.

I'd say that anybody who grew up using computers will find using an FMC very easy.  There's really nothing to them.  Some FMCs are a little less intuitive than others, but still.  

The people I've seen who have a hard time using those things are the older folks who don't use computers.

You have to be comfortable with computers, and you also have to know quite a bit about air navigation in general and navigational procedures like STARs and SIDs.

being good with computers will help

you will need to know the aviation acronyms otherwise the jumble of letters next to the buttons won't mean a thing

it isn't very difficult if you have time to play around with it and figure it out. A manual helps too.
