How difficult would it be for an inexperienced rider, to ride a Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider?

My fiance' and I found a bike that we are interested in buying. I have ridden before, but am definitely lacking in experience. I have ridden a Suzuki JSXR 600 before, but I have never ridden a cruiser (as the driver). Would it be extremely difficult for me start on a Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider? I'm 5'6" and about 130lbs.

Taking corners will take a little getting used to. But other than that you should be OK.

Not difficult, just different.

Heavier, and different CG.

It won't take long to get used to. But do get used to it before riding 2-up.

Your size won't be an issue, I'm 5'9" & 135lb. on an FXD.

The low rider ,and cruisers in general, would be easier to ride then the Suzuki you rode.It also, is a good fit for your size.The lowrider is pretty expensive to repair if you drop it though.You may consider a set of engine guards and a pair of cheap saddlebags,to protect it a little if you set it down while learning. No matter what bike you buy, take a MSF safety course. you will learn a lot, and possibly save some money on insurance too!

since you have some experiance riding a sportbike like the suzuki

you should have no problem with the low-rider (the same bike i ride)

but its a diffrent type of ride all together i think you will injoy if your ready

to   grow up out of your need for speed  group and in to the refined and respeced rideing group  i hope you will injoy your new ride i will never trade or sell mine  ride inpeace respectfuly yours TANK

The Harley you are considering would make a fine beginners bike. It has good low speed handling so you won't fall over easily. It also has a lot of torque for easy starts.

I don't think you will have a problem with the Harley. I know it will be a  more comfortable ride.Just lean back and enjoy.

thats barely a step up from the sportster, which in todays stds is considered, well, ummm a begginers bike. It would do you fine. There are better bikes out there for begginers, google TOP 10 Begginers motorcycles.

I would get the biggest bike you can afford.
