  1. Well I am not happy about it.  Hah, many people have schedules in which they cannot carpool.  The price of gas has NEVER gone up so much so fast before.  As far as protesting goes, well simple, that is not allowed in America...They tried it in the 60's.  I wish I didn't have to use my car, I really do.

  2. Im very pissed!! About a week ago I put $40 dollars worth of gas and it only filled a little over half, and now its empty.  I barely use the car. It used to fill up all the way with $35!

In my country, when things like this happen, they protest and burn tires and stuff.

We should be doing something like that, but it seems that people only complain but dont do anything about it!

  3. I am so mad about this Gas price. I filled up my tank yesterday for 65.72 and its gone last only one week. i dont even make that much to put that many on my gas. But i can't stop using my car. it wont get me no where.

  4. I'm more discouraged at how fast gas prices have risen, and not so much about how high they are.

It's a pain to rework my families budget every month because the price of gas has risen .25, but realistically the rise in a gallon of gas is not unexpected.

Think how apathetic everyone sounds "it costs a lot to fill my tank, but I still need my car..." To that I say.. Carpool, can't find a carpool? make one... advertise on Craigslist, post a flyer in your local grocery store or Mom and Pop. Most of these places have Bulletin Boards and would most likely be more than accomodating to hosting a forward thinking service such as a carpool sign up sheet in their store. Sure it'll take some work and most likely some time, but chances are pretty good that noone else in your town wants to be the first to suggest it.

College student... Online courses if you're going to live at home and commute to school.... you'd be surprised at how many schools offer a complete degree program online. Can't find your degree program in online courses? Change your degree...

I don't mean to sound condescending, but everyone complains about the price of gas and no one seems ready to make a sacrifice.

WE are the reason gas prices are so high, not the government, not the oil companies, not OPEC, not taxes. This didn't happen overnight and most likely it isn't going to be fixed overnight, but it's time we start taking responsibility for our past actions (SUVs, trucks, HumVees, etc...) and start feeling the pain we've brought on ourselves.

  5. Yea prices are really high these days, but apparently its only going to go up. So right now im not complaining too much, cuz i know itll be higher soon. It has discouraged me from driving at all tho, bc really i cant live without my car. I travel quite a distance to go to college and home, so its a necessity. There is no other way for me to get to college but drive my own car. Gas prices are sucky but i have no choice, i just took up a part time job now cuz i feel bad using my parents card to pay for it. cuz i drive more than them. its a pain but i guess ya gotta live with it!

  6. very. I drove past a gas station yesterday and gas was $4.16. i thought i was going to have a heart attack. it's crazy considering i only make $8.36 an hour.
