People, I'm so frustrated here. I wasn't able to watch the race or watch it on the internet. Jeff has one of the BEST cars out there. I'm so proud of that team! They've finally come 'round! But, he didn't win. Led a lot of laps, got spun out, and finished---what??!!!

36th or something!!!! I can't believe it!!! I'm just so happy that he's dominant again and showing his usual strengths...What do you think?

  1. Yes that was very sad with Jeff getting turned around .I really thought he had that one.

  2. yeah its great he's coming around and its awesome for the hendrick team that all top 3 cars had a good race, but i'm sorry gordon did not have the best car, dale jr lead the most laps and had top 10, he has been very consistent and on point. dale jr. clearly was the dominator for the hendrick team.

  3. Gordon had a great car.  Weather he was spun out or blocking, I'm not really sure.  Probably just hard racing for the win.  In fact, ALL the Hendrick cars were fast.  But Gordon, Johnson, and even Mears all wrecked racing hard.  What's Jr.'s excuse?  Fast car, led most laps but couldn't close the deal.  Sounds familiar.

  4. Oh im so dissappointed that Gordon spun in the final laps!!!!! NOT!!!!!! Gordon Fans you better get used to loosing!!!!!

  5. he had a great car...so did Jr. ...but I wouldn't say it was the dominant one.     It's racing...win some lose some and it is always disapointing when your favorite driver spins out or hits a wall or blows a tire etc..especially when they had a shot at winning or at least a top 5.   Sorry.

  6. it was a bit disappointing, sort of like watching ryan newman win back in february when tony and kyle obviously had the dominant cars then.  and it was disappointing because it would have been much more satisfying to see kyle manage to hold him and carl and everyone else off to win, but it didn't happen that way. and, i'm not convinced gordon had the best car out there... after that amazing save kyle made in the "bobble" with hamlin and fell all the way to the back, only to come all the way back to the front with little to no help, i have to respectfully disagree and say kyle had the car to beat, or at least one of them.

i do wish the race would have finished with a dash between rowdy, carl, kurt, and matt back to the line (and jeff had he not fallen out), no matter who would have won. it was such a good race overall that any of them deserved it (not to mention junior, martin, and others) and i was just glad i got to see the whole thing. and a little extra glad that rowdy actually did get to take a bow or two...

    ;-)

  7. As a fan of the late, great Dale Earnhardt I have lived my life watching a dominant car not win at Daytona. Trust me you were better off not going through the last minute loss.

  8. He probably would have won if he had'nt got spun out. He was running in first up until the fourth lap when he got clipped by Carl Edwards - replay said it was Gordon's fault.

  9. Jeff Gordon..........he is running better but I am sorry I just can't stand the guy. He has got to be the biggest crybaby in the entire sports world. My boy Tony is running a close second on that catagory but at least he admits when he makes a mistake.

  10. I was really disappointed too! He had the best car and went from a top 3 to a 30th place finish.

  11. Oh I am still pissed that Jeff got turned around. Least expected it and just wanted to go crazy when it happened. He was totally going to win it!!! It really sucks and I hate that Kyle Busch won and Jeff finished 30somethin.

    He would have won ! ! !

Oh and yes, he had one of the best cars out last night.
