I have very similar hair. My hair is black, long, very thick, and somewhat curly...tightly coiled..It has been relaxed over the years, to get it straightened..I air-dry my hair now because I don't want to damage it with heat and curling irons, etc. It is softer, but more kinkier and really thick and hard to comb when it air dries with all that water in it..I use leave-in conditioner (garnier fructis) but i really have no idea as to how to really care for my hair..Ayudarme Por favor...Im from Ayiti (Haiti) by the way..

  1. One of my mulata friends uses cooking oil on her hair. Seems to help.

  2. Conditioner and protect from the wind..and usually tie back  in bun.(wind can be very damaging)
