  1. Ready......Aim......    FIRE. I a feel a whole lot more  American pride , yes but that money that paid for her education would have been better spend on cleaning the college sewer systems.

  2. i feel that she is a disgrace to our country.

  3. I think she's had a whole lot of opportunity handed to her on a platter and she's an ungrateful wench.

  4. I feel sorry for her because she doesn't appreciate living in the greatest country in the world.

  5. She's one up on me.

  6. She's quite a woman, I'll be proud to see her as our First lady.  That's how I feel.

  7. That's a FOX5 spin and every body knows it.

  8. she makes my blood boil.

  9. It's a rotten shame for a presidential hopeful's

wife to even say that. She hasn't been proud

to be an American in her whole lifetime? And

here she is a lawyer raking in the money, free

to go to any school she wanted to, and free to

say mean and ugly things. I wonder what she

based that sentence on since she seems to

have prospered during her lifetime and could

even become First Lady of our Nation. She

surely can't be proud to have said that!!!!!

  10. First of all Boo your so ignorant. "had handed to her on a platter" What!!! you must be as stupid as you look. She came from the d**n South Side of Chicago. Have you been there!?!?! Any child to come from that place had to work hard and have a vision for success and good parents that didn't let the fact that they lived in Poverty give them an excuse to not do better for themselves. The fact that she became successful, with the odds heavily against her is remarkable. The Fact that you believe a woman as successful as she is had to come from rich beginnings without any work involved is OUTSTANDING!!! You are certainly the cream of the crop BOO!!!

And to answer this question it has to be a humbling experience for her to see the support of her husband on a national level. its one thing to say you love your country, its another thing to see your country love you back and I think that's why she was moved to say that for the first time in her life she is proud of america. because for the first time america put aside biases and embraced another american that didn't fit the traditional role of the presidency. even if obama doesn't make it to the presidency I am very proud of the fact that there are so many americans who are willing to put aside there inhibitions and support Obama America is truly beautiful!

  11. RE: BOO "I think she's had a whole lot of opportunity handed to her on a platter and she's an ungrateful wench."

Are you serious? I smell strawman on a woman here by a bitter girl.

OK Boo...... What did she get handed to her on a platter? Like growing up in a one bedroom apartment? Getting into Princeton, or Getting into Harvard I heard those schools just let anyone in.

Take some responsibility for the things you say Boo I'm not a big Obama supporter, but you don't help things by making unfounded statements like that one.

  12. I believe we have "free speech" in America and if she makes exaggerated statements that she realizes later she has not meant to be as harsh as it came out, then give her the chance to speak about how she feels about her country.  Let's be civil and be grown-up rather than bullies and cantankerous prigs about how people get quoted.  If I heard this right in the media, present (2001-current) First Lady Laura Bush defended Mrs. Obama as far as the quote being misused and misunderstood. . .

  13. What she actually said was:  For the first time in my life, I am really proud of America.  The word Really changes the entire context of the sentence.

Even though I am not voting for her husband, I don't think that lies should be acceptable about a statement from the spouse of a candidate.  Either print the entire thing of don't print any of it!

  14. She comes across as a spoiled whiner. She's proud of America when there is something in it for her. She's believes she's entitled to have America pamper her for who she is. Far be it from her to lift a finger to do anything but *itch and complain.

  15. To the guy above, printed word also changes things. Like she could have said, "It's the first time I have been REALLY proud of America."  Which I would take to mean she was always kinda proud of america, but now she was really proud.

She could have emphasized proud, in which case I would take it to mean exactly what the posters above me are complaining about.

As for how I feel about it, I think about her what I think about all people I see in political life. They are self righteous blow hards, that would be well served to work at a McDonalds or a construction job or something for a year, before they start telling everyone how to live their lives.

  16. There's a first time for everything.

Like record voters switching party alliance just because their candidate did not make it - even when the Primaries were modified .

Like making world decision and not able to admit them.
