  1. Rich and Inbred.  Like hillbillies with money.

Let the gene pool breathe, will ya?!

  2. I'm from Argentina, i perceive the royal family like a way to represent the UK, not good and not bad, like every place, have sus defectos

i don't peak very well english so scuseme(forgivemy?)

  3. As a German-American, I alway's kept up with European Aristrocracy. I Am actually very fund of the British Royal family. They are people that do a lot for the common good of so many of their British people. You might not feel that way, but I truly think they are a big asset to the British people. Besides the point, you never know if one day the Monarchy is going to have a come back. As I understand many Brit's are not quite found of what their government is doing.

  4. Wonderful the Government would love to have the head of their country. Check into US history If you like info on Canada check the history

  5. 50/50 ridicule/indifference

  6. They are arrogant egoists who use their power to ostracize opponents and critics to retain their hold on british minds, british thought, british ideas and power. They exalt themselves to be like gods thru control of the brit educational system which does nothing but laud and extol them, the brit media which is careful not to say anything except what the royals want said about them, and the result is that brits are born, are educated and grow  up accepting these leeches as a so-called necessary part of british life.

What a rotten bunch of exploting b******s. They take millions from the brit treasury to polish their wealth and property which is worth billions, as if they didnt have enough of their own to do what they wanted with what they have gathered over the centuries out of brit wages.

What a crazy system britain suffers from!

  7. They are generally liked.  We don't want a Royal family, but are happy to borrow yours.  The Princes are particularly popular!

  8. their jealous they don't have one of their own

  9. They are not something that I really think about ever, unless I see them in the news or something. Not sure why they still have a "royal family," since they are more just there for show and tradition (and maybe as dignitaries/diplomats), but it doesn't bother me either. The idea that there are still royal families as apart of governments out there is somewhat intriguing I suppose.

  10. I think it depends on the person.  You would find a lot of girls, (more than boys or men, or even older women) who romanticize and idolize the whole thing...it has its roots in fairytales, and all, and the whole concept that a princess gets to wear the prettiest fashions, and dress up in gowns and go to balls and all that.  Men probably don't pay any attention at all.  Women are more mature about it, but I think we all sort of have this fascination with the whole idea of living in a palace and having the best of everything.  Especially with Di, and as pretty as she was, and such a wonderful clothes horse.  We still seem to buy a lot of magazines if her face is on the cover.

The strange thing, of course, is that we are so much more wrapped up in the British family, almost to the exclusion of the Monegasque family, which has such close ties to the US. And almost nobody realizes how many other countries have royalty, still in place, because they are so much less ostentatious.

  11. as an american i really never give them much thought not to be disrespectful, but i always thought princess di was a hottie

  12. Mostly useless, but fun to watch, like 'reality' TV.

  13. a joke

  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Je5EtZmtW... maybe this guy says it all.

  15. a lot better than we do i expect ..

  16. They think that we're all like them!

  17. I feel bad for them.  They aren't like celebrities who usually choose to be in the lime light.  These poor people are born into this life and have no privacy, must live according to how everyone in society thinks they should.  They have to worry about every little face they make ending up in some rag with a story about constipation, s*x scandals, etc....  I may not be a rich person but I do not envy their life no matter how rich they are.  I am at least free to make mistakes and no one gives a c**p.  furthermore they are told who they can and can't date or marry.  Mind you they aren't the only ones who are told who to marry but no one cares if your average stupid teenager gets hitched in America except the parents and family of those kids.  It only makes the paper if the girl's dad shoots the boy:)

I am sitting in a nice comfortable home with all of my curtains open to enjoy the view of night lights outside and I enjoy that freedom because the only person creepy enough to peep through my windows will either end up in the hospital or in jail and no one will pay money for pictures of me so there goes their bail money:) LOL  The royals have a sad cloistered existence despite their prominence in the public eye.

  18. Honestly,we do not understand royalty...or why it is still in place.

Greetings from the snowy northern USA:-)

  19. I find them quite interesting. I've been very interested in the Royal Family, first beginning with Elizabeth I(a powerful woman ruler)then became quite interested in them because of the actress Lillie Langtry's relationship with Edward VI and Alexandra;I've been hooked since. The Royals have a link to history, particularly living history,an interesting subject for me. Not all Americans are ill-informed,undereducated people!

The current Queen is noteworthy for her dedication to duty, often putting personal wants and needs in the background in order to carry out her job;there aren't too many people like that around.

I'm also interested in how the Family is going to modernize the monarchy;I've heard that Charles is quite interested in the way Spain's Juan Carlos operates.
