Do you see him as a good prospect to become a future champion?

Or just another great British hope?

  1. no idea who he is sorry i guess americans are stupid sometimes

  2. I don't think Khan has the profile yet for people outside of the UK to be aware of him.

It's far too early to tell whether he's going to be a champ. He's only had 18 professional fights so far.

  3. Now I am speaking personally but I do believe I speak for a larger portion of the American population when I say that I view him for hours on end with a bottle of lotion and a box of tissue on hand.

  4. He can work up the ranks like everyone else.

Joe Calzaghe won huge respect  in the U.S. by taking down Hopkins.  Joe's a fighter, and world champ.  Ahmir Khan is no different.  Fight someone big, take him down, and we'll notice.

  5. idk who this is

  6. as an American i think he's going to become a world champion  maybe in 2009? i did see his fight against Stefy Bull.

  7. I don't think there is such a thing as an "american view". Currently, America doesn't know who he is and therefore feels no connection with him.

To me, he's certainly got a lot of growing up to do. He doesn't have much confidence in the ring. He freaks out and panics when his punches don't hurt his opponent. He's been knocked down a few times but it's more because he was off-balance and not paying attention. You can tell when he's too busy trying to listen to his corner's instructions instead of fighting on instinct. He needs to learn how to relax a bit more and just be confident.

  8. He's on-point!  He was impressive in the Olympics and possesses unlimited potential. Once he get some major victories and some U.S. exposure, he'll more than likely become another icon.

  9. Ahmir who?

  10. Well i follow boxing pretty  regularly and i belive i once heard of him in the olympics. But he has only gotten limtited attention recently before his last fight and ive yet to see him fight other then some youtube clips but from hear say it sounds like he's the next champ but thats not saying much these days with all the belts there is out there.

  11. as another ghost

  12. I view him as a fighter that's not developing a full set of boxing skills.  AK needs to move his head, and engage/disengage from angles instead of straight in and straight out.  He's begging for a big counterpunch to waylay him.  He obviously has physical skills, but is rather stupid in his approach to the craft of boxing.
