Do the parties involved need to pursue the case against a Bigamist or can the state or government prosecute them without the consent and/or involvement of the parties involved? Can state prosecute even of the victims of the crime don't pursue the case?

  1. it is a criminal offence, so the law can pursue them without assistance

  2. Yes usually the state can pursue even without the help of the victims but as a rule I would say that they wouldn't unless its election time or they are trying to take a tough on crime stance.

  3. Either can file a complaint.

Usually, the law is not unforced unless some media busybody makes a stink, though.
