How do Children who live in the outback receive education?

Homeschool? I don't know about the outback, but in Alaska we have "the bush" or rural Alaska and thats a lot of what gets done out there.

Children living in the Australian outback attend "school of the air".  This used to be a combination of pre-set work (work comes to the property in bulk) with lessons daily via radio one on one with a teacher in a central location.  These days, as well as the work packages the kids recieve, school takes place via the internet, again with a direct link to a teacher.  Some parents hire governesses/tutors for their children, but not all, just like with homeschooling frequently mum is the teacher for the most part.
