Question:

How do Common Applications work?

1) Is it better to do the common Application on-line or through mail?

2) Also, for teacher recommendations, what should you put in the envelope? I know you need to have a printed copy of the recommendation form, a resume, and maybe like due dates and stuff.

3) Also, what kind of envelope should you use? BIg or small?

4) Lastly, I am taking the SAT in October, do I just send that score to the colleges?

Thanks for the help! I am really confused and stressed!

  1. do the common application online, that way it saves most of your information and if you decide to apply to another school, you wont have to redo alot of the application.

for the teacher rec. forms, just have the form and the letters, you dont need anything more and youdont want to give them a bunch of papers they dont need- they'll probably just trash them.

use a big envelope, that way you dont have to fold your papers and they wont get wrinkled or look messy

for the SAT, you should probably just send the score to the colleges b/c if not you'll have to pay extra (or qt least i had to)

but if you're not sure on whether you'll do well, dont send it directly, wait till you get your scores and if you have to retake them, do it, then send the scores.

and don't be stressed, things always work out in the end :)

  2. I'm assuming you mean applications for college, you didn't really specify... but I have the answer to #4

You school counselor/ advisor should be able to answer ALL  your questions, but you school sends off you SAT/ACT scores to the colleges you tell them to.
